1. Overview

The Stanley Medical Research Institute (SMRI) supports sharing of NGS data derived from postmortem brain tissues.

2. Data Types & File Formats

Bulk RNA-seq

• Raw sequence files: .fastq.gz
• Processed expression data: raw counts, TPM, FPKM
• MD5 checksums

sc/snRNA-seq

• Raw sequence files: .fastq.gz
• Processed expression data: filtered/unfiltered gene-cell count matrices (e.g., provided as matrix.mtx, barcodes.tsv, features.tsv, or .h5ad)
• Metadata files: per-cell metadata with MD5 checksums

3. Submission Process

1. Prepare all files
2. Submit Presubmission Report
3. SMRI review and send SFTP login credentials
4. Submit files via SFTP or hard drive
